The RenewableGenerations Rebate Programs At-A-Glance

Here are the basic steps in participating in the RenewableGenerations rebate programs:

Step 1: Go to the Apply for Rebates page.

Step 2 : Download and submit a completed application.

Step 3: Your site is inspected and an inspection form will be completed by a RenewableGenerations team member to ensure compliance with the program policies and procedures.

Step 4:  All applications are submitted for review to the Nevada Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation Task Force and then forwarded to the Public Utility Commission of Nevada on or about October 16, of the Program year for approval.

Step 5:  You will receive a written Rebate Commitment/Authorization letter which allows you to proceed or a letter informing you that you are on the waiting list.

Step 6: If approved, contract with a qualified Nevada (C2) electrical contractor to install your renewable generating system. Contractor will be required to submit a one line electrical diagram for approval.

Step 7: Inform the RenewableGenerations administrator that your project is completed by calling (866) 786-3823, fax (775) 834-5514 or email to info@SolarGenerations.com.  Send the final documentation to the RenewableGenerations Rebate Program administrator.  This includes a "signed-off" building permit, invoice from your contractor (consisting of cost of labor and materials including equipment make and model), Voltage Verification and Application Change Order Forms.

Step 8: The Utility will complete a safety and meter socket inspections and have you execute the Net Metering Agreement specific to your system. To receive the rebate, you are required to sign a Net Metering Agreement. If your renewable generating system meets all Utility Standards the representative will schedule the installation of the bi-directional (revenue) meter and Generation meter (see the Utility Standards for more information on meters). Once the new meters are set you are ready to energize your new renewable generating system!

Step 9: After successful verification of the installation, we will mail the rebate check usually within 60 days or less. Acceptance of the rebate assigns all renewable energy credits (REC) derived from operations of the rebated PV system to the Utility.
