Photovoltaic systems are widely thought to be the energy source of the future, and Nevadan's have the ability to produce power from some of the most abundant natural resources available.Tthe valuable rebates available can help make it a reality today. It all begins by going to the Apply for Rebates page.
IMPORTANT NOTICE:
We're sorry, but the application period for 2008 has ended. Please check back soon for information about the next application period.

Residential Program
Working together to harness the power of the sun
Solar energy is one of our state's most abundant -- and least utilized -- renewable resources. With a little help from the sun, you may be able to generate a significant portion of your own electricity, save money on your energy bills, reduce our dependence on fossil fuels and even improve your home's resale value.
Small Business Program
Today's Small Businesses are about more than just the bottom line.
Today's solar systems are reliable, attractive, affordable and becoming more efficient all the time. Modern low-profile solar arrays complement most roofs, and installation is simple. With minimal maintenance, you can expect at least 20 years of energy production from a free, renewable energy source. A solar electric system can save you a significant amount on your electric bill. When your system produces more power than you use, the power goes into the utility's grid system through Net Metering, and you're credited for the excess power.
Public Buildings Program
Community and Industry Leadership
Installing a solar PV system provides clean, reliable, renewable energy and heightens your profile as an organization that is concerned about your community's shared natural resources. With the rebates offered through this program you can considerably offset your initial investment. After payback, energy cost savings add up year after year.
Schools Program
A bright future for you and your students
Installing solar PV in your school helps instill the value of energy conservation in your students while lowering your facility's monthly operating costs. A solar system doesn't have to be large to be cost-effective. A photovoltaic array that produces even 5 kWh will make a difference in your energy bills and reduce your reliance on our shared and limited natural resources.
Educational facilities across the nation are putting solar into their power mix. Schools are ideal places to use solar PV technology since their energy demand is significant and comes mostly during the daytime, when solar energy can be used to maximum benefit.
Additional Information
Laws passed by the 2007 Nevada State Legislature include considerable changes to the solar program in Nevada. For example, SolarGenerations is now a permanent program intended to allow more Nevadans to take advantage of the incentives offered to install solar (photovoltaic) on residences, small businesses, schools, or public buildings. Currently, the Public Utilities Commission of Nevada (PUCN) is developing the regulations to govern the new program.
Until the new regulations are adopted, incentive levels and other program rules are subject to change. Customers who have applied will receive information on any changes made to the program, including rebate levels, with their written notices of approval.
We encourage you to apply for and participate in the SolarGenerations program and appreciate your understanding as we transition into a permanent program that will continue Nevada's proud tradition as a leader in solar energy..
